Moral
Moral, adj. Conforming to local and mutable standard of right. Having the quality of general expediency.
2005 Update: Bearing a nobility sufficient for acquittal.
Pia, I think you make a great point. When they did the survey of voters after the election and people were asked what most affected their vote, the choices as I remember them were foreign relations, poverty, the economy, terrorism or moral values. I remember hearing the list and wondering which of those weren't moral values.
Karma, that's not how I was raised. But I'll sure remember it when speaking to you. What does a girl mean when she says "yea(hhhhhh)"
Jamie Dawn, that's funny. Can I offer the following? "He has high morals means you'll be invited for a drink discretely."
Tan Lucy, you can tell the difference because the Morel goes with butter.
Aral, here's your previous comment: "What is moral is what you feel good after." - Ernest Hemingway The comments gizmo doesn't love me today. Great quote, though.
Planetmoron, you're my kind of scoundrel.
Thanks, Masil but in my case, I'm a perfect gentleman when no-one's looking. I can explain about the bruise.
Alice, it was faith in your return that kept us going. I planned to do this one while you were away.
Gabriel, they start green in a preacher's nursery, are brown in politicians pick them up off the ground and I'm not sure what they look like when ripe.

putting the 'mmm' into oral
Karma, and what a pleasure that would be!;)
But I think the Pope had some things to say where you to use the words moral and oral in one sentence.
The political and commercial morals of the United States are not merely food for laughter, they are an entire banquet.

"Aim above morality. Be not simply good, be good for something."

Moral, n. the last sentence in a story that tells you what you were supposed to learn from it.
Karma, you put the ohhhhhh into no.
Monika, does he have a blog?
Of course, Sar, things have changed a lot since then. Now you'd starve.
virtuous to the point of corruption
Uprighteousness treading on those willing to take it lying down.
Dddragon, I'm still working on good. A little time please. Great quote, though.
a4g, I read your site. I was glad to get Mural.
Tom & Icy, excellent. Antithetical, even.
Weirsdo, you out-jaundiced me. Well done! That reads really well, too. Uprighteousness has needed coining too.
usually used with values
eg: moral values (makes no sense and I ain't going to try to defend it)
always used to describe how badly people of a more liberal persuasion act
Not my best but yours is brilliant; some people cheated (uh, lack of morals? Or more moral in the current climate?)
Make me stop!
haha Monika :))
Doug, you should know when a girl says no(ohhhh!) she means yea(hhh!)
"She has high morals" means you won't be invited up for a drink.
"He has high morals" means absolutely nothing.

It went searching up the hill behind Jill!
Planet Moron, you really are awfully cynical, my friend.
Thank you, Actonbell. Wilde's been too long missing from this site. And no, he couldn't possibly have...
Sreekesh, I have no idea what you're saying right now but I bet it's smart.
Geez! And here I thought it was a mushroom. Heck. Wrong again.
This is weird... I posted a comment before, but it disappeared. This happened on c'est chic, too. Hmm. Strange.
In response to the "does the pope have a blog?" Why yes he does:

Morals: what you do when you think somebody is looking.
You've all done quite nicely while I was gone.
Moral- that is beyond my scope.

I'm ill-qualified to comment on this one. I'm a writer/journalist; I wouldn't know a moral if I saw it.
Are they purple?
