The Old Woman And The Sea
Episode 32 of The Meditations of Diogenes The Cynic.
To hear the story, say hello to the little crone.
The Prattler will be back next week, I'm practically certain.
Darn good thing she turned gold at the end. just sayin'. However, Hera! *preen* The value of persevering in the event of a thorn. btw, cronage is the new sexy. ask your friendly cougar. xoxo
that is the end of many humans that they cannot learn to breath underwater fast enough. there is only one thing more dangerous than a happy god, a disappointed god. :-/
that Diogenes...some people are too nearsighted to know a good thing when it's standing right in front of their squinty and/or beady little eyes. ; )
and i'm in total agreement with Jamie Dawn here... Diogenes definitely needs to learn the concept of "if you can't say something nice, keep yer trap shut".
MIRACULOUS: see SUPERFLY. Unless, of course, the idea bugs you. I can hardly wait to see how Diogenes fares with a nymph. Oh, that was Echo, wasn't it ...?

First. Darnitall.
Story's moral: Be nice to hag queens. Or else. Just sayin'.
Miraculous: Jonah swallowing the leviathan.
A good deed never goes unpunished.
I must say, you make a good old crone and a vengeful queen! Nicely done.
Goldennib, didn't my mother love that quote (imagine with ten children).
"Pre-ordained and unforeseen,
as marinara on formalwear..."
ha! tres amusant, Dog...
fish happens.

another fine tale
voices better than ever
talent without end
Diogenes needs to learn when to keep his mouth shut.
Crone is one of my dad's favorite words. He says the DMV and the waiting room for jury duty are two places where crones can always be found.
Marinara...
How did you know I made spaghetti for dinner tonight?? That's miraculous!
TLP, if I ever meet a hag queen I'll know just what to do.
Excellent observation, Nessa. What'd I do now?
Thanks, G. I try.
Merci, JJ!
Mireille, that is such a set-up. I ain't biting. That's the cougar's job.
Ariel, but a disappointed one causes less suffering.
Thanks, A-bell. I've had training.
Thank you, sister mine
Sometimes the voices inside
Have to come on out.
JD, I planted a web-enabled sniffometer on you at In n' Out.

great story -- GREAT READING!! *claps*
This is my favorite reading of your. The voice of the old crone sold it!!!
miracle...well, if you want whip in your life, I am told this one is the one to go for!
A toast to the old crone.
I so wish that word was more commonly used today.
Very good dear dog. I do miss the prattler though.
"Pre-ordained and unforeseen,
as marinara on formalwear..." You're making fun of me again, aren't you?
MIRACULOUS: see SUPERFLY. Unless, of course, the idea bugs you. I can hardly wait to see how Diogenes fares with a nymph. Oh, that was Echo, wasn't it ...?
I would just like to mention that I have been here several times this morning. So, I AM FIRST yaknowwhatimean? yaknowwhati'msayin'?
Well, thanks, Puppybrose, for the advice and the example.
True, Actonbell. It's called "Diogenes" so I figured it fit.
Minka, it certainly is, although not mayonnaise, strictly speaking.
Thanks, Cooper. I'm pretty sure this is the week Prattler comes back.
No, Quilly, but I coulda been.
Amoeba, I don't think Echo counts as a nymph, but there's no nymph in his future. Next week, though, Atalanta.
Sorry, TLP. It's my fault you don't look first. Bad blogson, I know.
