Quantity

QUANTITY, n.  A good substitute for quality, when you are hungry.

2008 Update:  A characteristic dismissed by the tasteful almost constantly.

"nothing is something..."

this was actually a derogatory remark
made by someone who poked fun
at my desire for
a truly simple existence
on this Earth...

Quantity - As long as it isn't turned into a "math" term, I'm fine with it.

Quantity, a question of room.

Maybe it's just my mood, but a 70's disco song immediately started playing in my head and if I have to listen to it all day I see no reason why you should be immune.

More, More, More (Quantity)

Oooh, how do you like your love
Oooh, how do you like your love
But if you want to know
How I really feel
Get the cameras rollin'
Get the action goin'
Baby you know
My love for you is real
So take me where you want to
Me and my heart you steal
(More more more) how do you like it, how do you like it
(More more more) how do you like it, how do you like it
(More more more) how do you like it, how do you like it

The dictionary says "the character of a logical proposition as being universal, particular, or singular." They lost me at "logical proposition." As you know. xoxo

Quantity: always think of toilet paper and paper towels with this word.

May your weekend hold a quantity of good times. Oh and thanks Quilly.

Java Jazz, that reminds me of the old folktale "Joseph Had An Overcoat" in which he could always make something out of nothing.

Are you sure it was derogatory, JJ? It sounds like a promotion.

Terry, I don't think "RADIUS" is in Bierce but if it is, we'll call it a bone.

Ariel, you're channeling Einstein again.

Apology accepted, Quilly.

Mireille, think of it as the opposite of jasmine.

Jenn, I might have guessed.

Hey, brother Mule's back! Al was here yesterday. This is homecoming week?

g, is that the coat of many colors?

I like your update. So I ain't gonna even try.

Both you & Bierce have such great offerings on this word.

I've heard it said that when it comes to time with one's kids that quality is better than quantity. I disagree. Lots of plain, old time is best - whether it's time spent doing something incredibly fun or time spent sitting watching a favorite show.
When it comes to food, I like to have both quality and quantity.

Quantity: With the kids, an hour a week all by themselves with Dad is quantity enough (that's what the shrink said). Five kids with travel time to where they want to go equals a whole Saturday.

Quantity: There will be a large quantity of food tomorrow at Mrs. Jim's family reunion. We are in Louisiana for that already tonight.

or

Quantity - the other part of the vs. quality when it comes to workouts given to track athletes - especially those of the distance runner.

TLP, one more definition doesn't hurt.

JD, it's like that with dogs, too. Even if they're playing Wii and getting tattooed.

Jim, Louisiana is a great place to have a quantity of food. Enjoy.

Actonbell, sounds like my kind of place. Too much of a good thing or enough of a bad thing? It's a worthwhile debate.

Minka, you're an economist!

Or the racehorse, Sauerkraut.
