Creditor: New York usage; 20th Century: for whom the bells toll; used in a sentence "he might take us out or he might give us money, so ring the damn bells."

  7. Anonylice, Here I thought I'd found a clever new reader.

Very good, Sar. The biggest difference being predators usually have to do more than open up and say aaah!

Not to fear, Pia, I'm sure the local mafia thinks of you fondly.

Soapy, that which is done in darkness shall be brought to light. Sometimes sooner, sometimes later.

Seems like a pretty good trade to me, TLP. That may be why I'm not a creditor.

It's OK, Alice. This is how we know you're a friend by day and a lurker by night.

Creditors give the illusion that you are not in debt just as Soapy gives the illusion you are not coming to Hell!

Creditor, n. A creature capable of metamorphosis, who can primarily be identified by feel. A creditor is a soft touch while he is giving you money, and becomes untouchable once you have received it.

  14. a4g, a lot of people would say government was created to remind the volunteers.

Gabriel, a predator is someone who asks a young lady to voluntarily write for him and then plagiarizes her the next week.

Thanks, Actonbell. I think the group was getting surly there for a second. Hoop skirts should help. Put it on, a4g.

Good definition, Andrew, and our senses do heighten when someone gets their hand in our pocket, don't they?

  15. I don't write definitions for curse words. It's against my religion.

  16. Good definitions today. We should all live within our means, even if we have to borrow to do it.
