  3. SELF-EVIDENT, adj. Presented by oneself, on behalf of oneself. Which is typically disparaged in a court of law. As is everything else except the, em, fee paid to the judge.

    Which obviously means I get to have my own way -- so the definition of self-evident is whatever serves me best.
