Hatred
HATRED, n. A sentiment appropriate to the occasion of another's superiority.
I agree Amoeba. I don't hate red, not at all. But I do prefer green.
"Impotent hatred is the most horrible of all emotions; one should hate nobody whom one cannot destroy." Goethe (I kinda disagree with Goethe on this. Seems to me that if you have real power over someone or something you no longer have any need to hate it.)
I don't have any room in my for hatred. I am full of love, chocolate-covered caramels, and other things both yummy and gooey. If I did have any room in my for hatred, I would probably aim it at blogger. It ate my yesterday's comment!
Hatred: Doug, you've found an old lost and forgotten word. I think people are still doing it but have forgotten what to call their actions.
