  1. Hatred: Doug, you've found an old lost and forgotten word. I think people are still doing it but have forgotten what to call their actions.

  2. An emotion I try to avoid...it only hurts the hater.

  4. Hatred is one of the three things can make one fly.

  5. I agree Amoeba. I don't hate red, not at all. But I do prefer green.

"Impotent hatred is the most horrible of all emotions; one should hate nobody whom one cannot destroy." Goethe
(I kinda disagree with Goethe on this. Seems to me that if you have real power over someone or something you no longer have any need to hate it.)

  6. Oops! Who the heck am I to disagree with Goethe for gosh sakes????!!!!

I have no hatred at all for your definition, Doug.

    I do so heart it.

  11. I don't have any room in my for hatred. I am full of love, chocolate-covered caramels, and other things both yummy and gooey. If I did have any room in my for hatred, I would probably aim it at blogger. It ate my yesterday's comment!

  12. That should be ME -- no room in ME -- and it has to be a Freudian slip because I did it TWICE.

  13. That was very witty, Jim. I think you might be right.

Mo'a, I haven't seen a hater among your pieces yet. I doubt that spirit's much in you.

Amoeba, I thought about "envy and other green things" as a definition.

Ariel, the other two are vampires and hot pokers? Or just poker?

Funny, TLP. I think Shakespeare would agree with Goethe but I'd rather agree with you.

    Peace, Bear.

    Thom, I meant for Bozo.

Terry, I try not to turn my back on it.

Me either, Actonbell, although there's a lot to be done that I put off Monday-Thursday.

    Why thank you, Jenn.

So, Quilly, I guess you're more of an avarice gal.

  14. Actually, I prefer wild rice to avarice. It tastes better and doesn't stain the clothing or table top when it spills over.

  15. Doug, I thought your update would go for a different orifice.
