ADOLESCENT, adj. Recovering from boyhood.
2009 Update: Undergoing the transformation from external to internal disappointment. In the chrysalis between larval and carnal stages.
Those were the good old days for me. I really never recovered from boyhood though. .. My TBird was a'69. I was the original owner, I worked for Ford Aerospace and bought an 'executive car' turn-in through a local dealer and our HR. ..

ReplyDeleteActually, the word adolescent was cobbled together from the words:
ReplyDeletead (short for advertizing -- normal adolescents are much louder and more persistent at self-promotion than even that Quilldancer person),
dole (have you ever seen an adolescent who didn't have his/her hand out looking for a hand-out?) and
scent because the little buggers reek, either from too much cologne or not enough water.
