Teil Dreiundachtzig
To hear my dad read this week's story, hear ye the Swiss scout at right

Or, you can read thoughtfully with Huldrych Zwingli.
The story so far is here.

    Is that a rhetorical question?

  3. I mean I haven't written this week's episode and it will be up later. You know the drill.

  4. Skil? Craftsman? Black & Decker?

A fellow was convicted of possession and sent to the House, where, after a few days of detox and indoct, he was sent to the shop and assigned the machine that puts the bolt holes in the license plates. Anytime thereafter that someone asked what he was doing, he would answer, "Drillpressed for time."

In case anyone's wondering - Quilly's away and I'm working on ways of avoiding going in to work.

  5. This is not a complaint. Nor is it a comment. Just practicing my typing skills.

  6. Um, right : a string of words indicating bedazzledness. Much observed in general head scratching or heard in the intonation of a beautiful girl looking at something that had just asked her out.

  7. Um. I think Minka might need a date. She should try eHarmony.com.

"Why browse through the personal ads?"

  8. How's that epoxy coming along?

If only nobody tried to explain when they do somehting they shouldn't have, or do not do something they should have, but only said, "Um, right." Courtrooms could be used as poker saloons!

tsduff, it seems Ariel is still "paying attention." Isn't that what you asked her on the July 29, 2010 blog post, Scimitar?

  12. No need to post. We're doing okay here on our own.

But still. Would be nice if you did.

  13. Amoeba, that's the kind of project I enjoy on a Saturday.

TLP, thank you for your delicacy.

Minka, I knew I had heard that expression before today.

Karen, it's a lot easier for her than that, in my experience.

Terry, that's tomorrow. Today was procrastination which is a harder surface.

Where would we try the cheaters, Ariel?

Karen, I think Terry was asking about the forty thieves. But good work making me search my own archives.

That's funny, Bear. You and Ariel play well together.

TLP, why didn't you say something? Granted.

  14. Whatutalkin'bout? That is not your Dad reading the story. You can't fool all the people all the time.

Good job with reading and writing. (Of course, you lose a grade point for lateness. But, then I'm adding a point back in for honesty on the two-year time problem. Like any of us would know.)

  15. Thanks for the points, TLP and I accept the deduction. Some are great copy-and-pasters and others have cutting-and-pasting thrust upon them.

Actonbell, did you go? I always loved the idea of the renaissance faire but haven't been to one since my parents took me when I was a kid and got sick.

  16. I wouldn't have noticed the two-year time problem either because I was distracted by Amoeba's comment. I'd never heard of Skil drills before.
I'll bet Dietrich already knew they make saws, routers and sanders, too.

  17. Karen, Dietrich is more of a Hilti guy.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Well, Doug, then Dietrich still must have known of Skil's existence if he preferred the Hilti brand of power tools over them.
