To a band-aid

Though all may right now rot within
I never will fear for my skin
The further out the malady
The easier the remedy
Let J&J e'er provide
A cure for what ails outside
And no internist ever know
The diagnosed corrupted soul
For whoever treats what suffers most
Soon becomes the suffering's host.
- Hal Thighself, M.D.

PRACTITIONER, n.  The enchanted familiar for a reference book or brochure.

PRACTITIONER n. one who charges you while using you for research and/or homework purposes.

(After all those years in medical school, one would like to feel like the doctor knows what s/he is doing, but the title, Practitioner, clarifies the truth of that.)

PRACTITIONER, n. Crutch to support a bone that isn't broken.

But, Doug, the country's in recession. If you actually got people to stop spending their money on fantasies and delusions and People To Take The Blame, Our Nation will go broke.

Hal Thighself, M.D? I think I know that (self) practitioner... he lives in the form of a Bear in my house... (never sets a foot inside a doctor's office, even when he should) ha ha

True, usually things on the skin are easier treated than internal problems. But beware that dermic devil, Mel A. Noma.

Sauerkraut, once you get the spelling right, sign me up.

Welcome, David, unless you're a spammer, in which case, may your liver vanish in white.

Quilly, medical school nowadays is probably focussed on the study of law.

Amoeba, blame ought to be its own reward but you're right, it counts toward GDP.

Thanks, blogmama. I feel a little better now. Ice cream?

Terry, that's another thing the bear and I have in common.

Cheesie, I'll keep a look out as soon as I get a mirror.

Ha, Icy! We'll try it on Lela.

If my practitioner is writing poetry to band-aids I fear I'l be suffering more than most.

Cooper, not that much more than most, probably.
