This sketch, by Victor Hugo would have been the first picture if I'd known how to find it. Thanks, Ariel.
"Spitting on his boots, a symbol of trust," - I'll have to keep that filed away for future reference.
This was a nice way to wind down this Saturday. Your storytelling abilities just continue getting better. As I struggle to come up with new bedtime tales...
The cows grazed the brush and scratched against rock. The breeze sipped their dust and their smell. Excellent - I can experience it through your words.
Those pictures are priceless - you have a knack. Ariel - you aren't so bad yourself... I like it.
I am proudly taking compliments for any picture of anybody. :-)
That drawing stuns me more every day. When I first saw it, I thought it was a skeleton. When the monitor gets less light, it looks like a fat man hanged in his suit.

I don't have a head wound, but I don't mind speaking anyway.
"droll drawl dragged" just loved that! tried to say it three times really quickly in a row. That was fun!
5th stanza was superb!
...for now I am troubled with the last lines...anyone willing to enlighten me...feel free to share!

Thanks, TLP. Who else would be fool enough to follow Lulu?
Thanks, Icy and bow wow.
As I struggle to relax, G, thank you.
Whoa! That's a scary pix!
Sorrow never sounded so good.
I'm glad I didn't see that last picture first.
I'm waiting for a website where someone tried to best your words.

Cooper, I was thinking of "Waking Wonderlandornot."
I agree, Ariel.

What is a sloppy Rita?
Terry, if you examine Actonbell's new avatar it's an advertisement for Sloppy Joe's Sloppy Rita's. I assume that's a margarita.

Yuck... a hanging.
I like your High Sheriff's voice. It sounded a lot like you, only more curmudgeonly.
