The Unionville Chronicles
Twenty-third Canto
By popular demand, Old Mule is back for a reading. To hear it, click on Coyote (above.) Thanks, brother mule.
"O", she mouthed... in awe of the experience. Where did you get that picture of the crow, feet dangling, wings cutting the mountain air...?
I'm sitting still, waiting for Old Mule to continue the reading in that slow, unhurried way of his. Doug, I think you have found your calling - it would be a shame and a loss if you aren't published. This is your best effort yet.
I'm feeling sad about that blind calf. I would have been like Charlotte if I'd have grown up on a farm; every runt would have been taken under my care as my baby... blind calfs too, as well.

Finally! It didn't feel whole without the Mule.
Wonderful photo.

I have to agree - your best effort yet in many ways. Mule's reading did the words justice. Brilliant all around. Nice work, gents.
I agree, Ariel. Every Waking Ambrose CD needs a Mulecording.
Terry, I hate to admit it but I just googled "crow on the wing."
Actonbell, there's one Canto left. Just sayin'
Thanks, G.
Bravo! Mule ya done good. Doug this whole thing has been brilliant.
I guess all Canis roll in their own er...laughter, but I do consider that a sin.
Mule's soft, southern voice is exxxcellent!!!

Thanks, TLP. There's one more canto to go, provided I write it.
JD, bless your heart, and you'd have named it Ari.
Brilliant indeed, she says smugly as she eyes all the Adobe Reader enabled canto's in her possession. ;)
I may not be back when and if you update, so rabbit, rabbit!
Rabbit rabbit sleepy-head.
Rabbit, rabbit, Actonbell. I take it that was a "no?"
Cooper, I blame Apple, Inc. for the fact that these are now .pdfs. Your smugness is the reward, though.
Rabbit rabbit, blogmama.
