Hurry
HURRY, n. The dispatch of bunglers.
2009 Update: The American approach to recreation, inebriation and leisure.
Hurry: find the fastest thing you can think of while still in the "H" section of the The Devil's Dictionary, completely disregarding the vowels e, i and o.
Hurry: Hurry and wait, the American (bureaucratic) way; or Hurry: "If you want it, here it is come and get it mmmmmm make your mind up fast If you want it, anytime, I can give it But you better hurry 'cause it may not last" the Brit way ..
Twenty-twenty-twenty four hours to go I wanna be sedated Nothin' to do and no where to go-o-oh I wanna be sedated Just get me to the airport put me on a plane
Hurry up and wait was the first thing that came to my mind, but I see that some others thought the same thing. I hate being in a hurry. It makes me nervous.

O.K. Jim, I'll see your lyrics and raise:
Twenty-twenty-twenty four hours to go
I wanna be sedated

I wanna be sedated
Just get me to the airport put me on a plane
Hurry hurry hurry before I go insane
Poobah, I'm never in too big a rush to raise a stoat.
What's the hurry, Karma? You're first even when second and third.
Nessa, what's five bucks get me?
TLP, it took a while, though, didn't it?
Icy, I think the back yard is calling.
Half, Karen?
Badfinger, Jim? How about a round of >To See That Desert Sun Go Down?
The Ramones, K? Nice touch.

You're right they drink their liquor at a more leisurely pace abroad. Easily solved by mandatory 4 day weekends.
With all those new laws headed our way I'm sure they can squeeze this one in.
Hurry Doug! I am first for Wednesday and I don't even know what you will have to say.
I will say, "Doug, are you sleeping in?"
..
A-bell, that penguin sure resembles Ambrose Bierce. And I've seen that expression somewhere else, although I can't quite place it.
I'm the same way, JD. Give me all day and I'll get around to it tomorrow.
You're probably right, Cooper. Or mandatory siestas maybe.
Jim, as sad as this is to say I was editing, then distracted, and I forgot to hit "publish."
