Versity Training

Some rhyme, some meter, perhaps a point
And then our jests we must anoint-
Behold, a new authority,
Listen, now, at last, to me:
A misty forest's just the place
To wander in a state of grace,
Where death and lilies wander 'bout
On paws and metaphors for doubt
Where love and thorns and meadows nourish
The Condors, tribes and pegasi who flourish
In the oft trod land of plaintive verses
Or funny rhymes and snores and worstest.

VERSIFIER, n. A diligent babbler. High mukmuk and secretary-treasurer to the Glossolallians.

Well, where-ever it is you are about today, I like it - i.e. misty woods, Condors and pegasi (nice plural)...

...and so you are the great Versifier, filled with a gift of glorious imagery. Thank you for sharing so much of it with us.

There was never before and will never again be a versifier quite like my sister, Caryl. She makes up her own words to popular songs -- and frequently her own tunes as well -- yet one always knows exactly what it is she's managling. That's quite a ... talent?

I'm not shutting my mouth on this one.

Doug Pascover: I'm listening.

Is this blog really, truly, without a doubt going to end when you finish the Reformation of Wolfshausen on November 6th, 2010?

Thanking you in advance,

Yikes !! I forgot to click the "send comments" box of annoyance (so I can see which comments come after mine) but the red lettering "incorrect password" shows so I can't even get a "WORD VERIFICATION."

by the likes of Doug,
whose blog will fold

too soon for me
early for you
this sad event
will make us blue

On quick look I mistook it for "varsity training", and thoughT you'd lost your mind.

I read the poem and still cannot write one myself, but at least you don't want our money for your training. :-P

I really have nothing intelligent to say, only that I like it.

Hi Cara and Blooming Psycho and Cheesemeister and Tempest Nightengale Le Trope,

I got your e-mail. I'll reply later this afternoon. You know, like the way mosT people communicate in the 21st century.

Thank you, Bear. Peace be unto you.

Nothin' to it, Terry.

Quilly, I'd call that a talent, sure.

Actonbell, I think spammers are responsible for those.

Indeed Jim, I think, to stay off the drink, there's nothing precarious like blogging nefarious.

Sure you don't want to give us a rhyme, Thom?

Karen, that's my plan. I could get hit by a bus or something first.

Cooper, don't you think this blog will make pretty good nostalgia?

Ariel, I'd be overpaid.

Thanks, Blooming.

Karen, do normal people talk about private emails on blogs?

Actonbell, and I'm glad you do.

The defense rests as well, Jim.

Doug, we are not normal people! Do not ever use that insulting word in our presence! ;-)

That's true, normal people are difficult to find.
