Abet
ABET, v.t. To encourage in crime, as to aid poverty with pennies.
2007 Update: To provide assistance or comfort to a criminal, for example by driving a getaway car or a newscopter.
Yep. Ask OC. I read the definition this morning and Al's comment and said, "Pft. No point in the rest of us even showing up."
Here I am anyway. If I can't dazzle you with my wit I'll teach you something. You know how all those law enforcement types like acronyms? Well, that's where this word came from.
ABETi. to giveaid to; benefit from; and/or encourage trouble.
Ah bet none o' y'all eveh said ah bet out loud before like I done.
I'll abet you Doug. I'll even help you hide the body. Our fingerprints will be no where to be found. But I dunno about drivin' no getaway car. Getaway cars never start on the first try. It's a television law.

Abet ya didn't think i'd show up so early today, did ya?
oh, and hahaha to Al, for that was laugh-out-loud funny. ; )
Knock, knock.
Who's there?
Abet.
Abet, who?
Abet there's a good reason no one's commenting today, but I'll be damned if I know what it is.
just sayin'... slow day in the blogosphere. ; )
Abet it's because no one can top Al's, Puppy.
Abet because it's Monday and we're all tired. And look at Al - he's on fire - first, funny and fresh off the success of this weekend's read.
Abet you're all correct. Can't top Al.

Oops! Sorry! Pacific Blue is the new me. Just ignore the feathers behind the curtain.
Jeez, I'm layin back tomorrow. Here's my definition in advance:
Antimony: Catch as catch Kant.
(We're still on the A's, right, Doug?)
Al -- you laid back all summer. You can just come back tomorrow and put up with the flack. You've earned it.
Al, I broke up reading that. You own the week.
Neva, I never know the day or the hour you'll come back. And I don't know why no one is commenting today. THey must feel guilty about something.
Jenn, I agree we can't top Al, but courage is fighting a battle you'll use. That's how I see it, which is why I keep getting up in the morning.
G, I think he's using steroids.
OK, ok, butterfly. Will no one kid this meddlesome monkey?
Quilly, I'm a little afraid to click that link. You mean blue like the ocean, right?
Al, that was pretty literate but I don't get the Antimony connection. Is there something in your water?
Actonbell, that was a great definition. You might have even topped Al. To?
Amen, Quilly. Have at him.

Where did my comment go?
Give it back!
(seriously!)

Hey, there are no windmills in Iceland!
TLP, that's why I rarely murder on sitcoms.
Minka, I never saw it. Never mind the rolled up carpet by the stairs.
OE, grand punnistry.
Ain't it though, Actonbell?
Minka, find a dragon and pretend it's a windmill.
