Brute

Brute, n. See Husband.

2005 Update: A willful cuss, avaricious and insensitive, despised in proportion to his pleasure. The term is typically applied to males and usually the one with the remote.

Brute, Steve Pascover

Happy Birthday, Pop, and several happy returns.

Great picture. Now we can see how you got to be such a character.

"despised in proportion to his pleasure"
is the best part of that definition.

He looks like a huggable sort.

Brut...by Faberge - a noxious pseudo-cologne worn by men primarily in the '80s.

Happy Birthday Pappa Doug!

Lumbergh, that's pretty short.

Weirsdo, my father emailed me that he'd have preferred "see how you became so dashingly handsome."

Alice, he's mad as a hatter and wise as a walrus. or not.

Sar, I'm partial to Hai Karate.

Brute could be a nice guy with a mission or goal, like handling obstinate employees. I love the pic.

Thanks, Karma. I bet this is the first time someone wished Dad Happy Birthday from Mumbai.

Tom, I take that as a compliment.

The two of you should have a chat with your mom. A blood test is in order, the two of you look nothing alike. A mix up in the hospital?
Anyways...Happy Birthday from Iceland!

That's interesting, Doug. For what it's worth, I personally alternate between Clinique Happy and Gucci. But never Brut.

Happy Birthday to Mr. Pascover!

At the risk of sounding like a giggling teenager - he is really cute. Wonderful nose!

Brute, adj. Derogatory term applied to those with excess masculinity by those with not enough.

Not to fear, Monika, I'm beagle on her side.

Sar, if I were more sophisticated I'd probably understand what you're saying. For now, huh?

Thank you, Manjusha, and not to fear- as you can imagine my father is used to giggling teenagers gushing about him.

Gabriel, that's a good one. In a masculine way.

Thanks, Actonbell. And it has fewer syllables, too! Tell Lucinda I said hi.

I'm behind in my blog reading, which means you get an extra happy birthday the day after! Steve: try to teach that boy of yours some sense.

Thanks, Indie! That's great. A new objective for his parenting he never thought of on his own.

If people want to know why Blogging is fun, I'm pretty tickled that my father was wished a Happy Birthday from Pennsylvania, Iceland, Germany, India and Ohio. Pretty cool, if you ask me.

I only drink brut champagne.

If I'm the Ohio one, I'm in Alabama now. Sorry.

Weirsdo, by the magnum or the case?

You weren't. I thought from reading the Pansifiles that that's where you were, but didn't reference it since it isn't in your profile. Now the world can track you down.

Whichever you feel like purchasing, as I always tell Dr. Weirsdo when he is going out to work in the mornings.
