Foundling, n. A child that has disembarrassed itself of parents unsuitable to its condition and prospects.
2005 Update: The product of ex vivo fertilization.
Friends, today I'm a pundit too. The fine folks at Bring It On! let me into their big tent. Not that I'm complaining, Pia, but I kind of thought I'd get to wear a hat or something.

Anonymous, I usually delete spam, but you found my soft spot.
Doug! *blushing* My goodness. I don't even remember what I was going to say in the first place. I'm just going to wish everyone a happy Friday and go check out your post on BIO now...
SOFT spot?!
Oh, wait, yes. Of course. In your heart. Silly me.
btw, I thought I saw "fondling" when the site first came up - don't know where my brain is this morning!
Congrats on your appearance on BIO!
Sorry, Sar. May I should have gone on and deleted the spam. I went for the line instead, of course.
Thanks, a4g. That's what marriage did to you, I guess.
Of course, dddragon. What did you think I meant?
i thought it was coming across something very small, that you had lost.
happy happy happy that you got to be someone else's guest for a change. i don't understand American politics at all, but Rah Rah Doug! :))
Foundling,n.
What I call my brother when he annoys me.
What we call the men who penned the Declaration of Independence, Bill of Rights, Federalist Papers and onward, when we are drunk. ( Foundling Fathers )
This is better than fondling fathers; although, with statistics as they are there were probably at least two of those in the group.
You are so kind to the spammers.
I'll check out your pundacity when I actually wake up.
Tarzan goes to New York
At a loss for words here. Between impotency and foundling; there's nothing
I was a foundling but then I was found by two very crazy but intelligent and nice people who like me better than the younger daughter who wasn't a foundling; and she still makes me pay
Wow my life story in a paragraph
We ran out of hats; but we'll give you a free subscription....
Alice, that was funny and thanks.
Icy, AAAA-ee-AAAAAHHH!!! Move it, Pal, what'd you drop a quarter?
Pia, you're a living testament to the importance of environment to development.
I have to check you out on BRING IT ON!
Foundling,n., Something every child is sure s/he is.
See: I was born to a really cool family and somehow separated at birth and stuck with this gosh awful group of people who claim that I am really a part of their dorky family and I know that I really am a part of some swell and rich family somewhere.
TLP, I thought I was really a Pez.
my mother is always looking for a foundling whether from, this is devasting to me, aren't i good enough? thank god my dad thinks so and has yet to allow one these found people into our home and my room. i guess im a selfish only child, but they raised me.
I'm was already trying to visualize ex-vivo fertilization then the whole impotenency thing...
foundling-thanks to movies like Annie, what we secretly hope ourselves to be when our parents make us mad.
Doug, you are a Pez! We're the swell family.
It's there own fault then, Rio. I would think you'd be enough.
Masil, putting images in your head is a fair turnaround I think.
I knew it, TLP! So why'd you leave me on that step?
Great job over at Bring It On!, Doug.
I'm too tired to feel creative... I'm going to look for my brain at the lostling and foundling.
Let's go White Sox!
ap3 sort of stepped on my gag. Still:
Foundling, n. A former lostling.
Karma, you snuck past me. I don't understand them either. Maybe if we gave the legislature microphone stands.
Thanks, Aral. See if my wallet and keys are in there.
Andrew, if you'd gone first I'd like to think Aral would have gone ahead too.
I, like ddd, thought the word was fondling. I quickly saw that I was wrong, but then I saw the spam comment and your comment, and was back to thinking the word was fondling.
The poor, little foundling was gently fondling his ratty little dog.
Foundling, n. 1.) A suckling fruitcake, passed from family to family until mature. 2.) The byproduct of disorganized stork labor.

Jamie Dawn, I'm scandalized! You know this is a family blog! Nice recovery, though. I think.
Gabriel, you never disappoint.
Foundling: Something that is discovered, yet still lost. Doug's political identity, e. g.?
Actonbell, you were lost for the weekend, but now!
Weirsdo, I don't have a political identity. It's more of an orientation.
