Abasement

ABASEMENT, n. A decent and customary mental attitude in the presence of wealth or power. Peculiarly appropriate in an employee when addressing an employer.

2007 Update: The spiritual discipline of humiliating oneself before one's betters, practiced in service for perfection alone.

abasement where teachers are kept

TLP said...

My basement is too empty of supplies. And the news says we might get a LOT of snow. Talk about abasement!

The abasement of Imus
is certainly a must.
Never mind rappers,
they don't raise a fuss.
That abasement of women
is absolutely just.
NOT

Pia & Minka seem a bit shocked that your definition is better than Ambrose's. They must be TRUE friends to imply something like that. :)

We LIKE you; We REALLY like YOU!! :) :)

Abasement: something I don't have, but wish I did now that it's tornado season.

Abasement, degradation is simply the manner of life of the man who has refused to be what it is his duty to be.

Since the brain seems to be firing on something less than the 8 cylinders I have chosen to borrow the thought of someone else. Hey, it's Friday afternoon...some slack if you please?

Abasement: Eeyore's state of mind.

Quilly, we kept ours in the meat locker.

TLP, you're a poet. I knew this whole CBS radio-dude thing would have a silver lining.

Mistress Anna, of course not you pretty, young thing.

Jamie Dawn, I'm not worthy of such affection, or a basement. Strap me to the roof in a hurricane.

Mutha, where do they keep the teacher what can't spell?

Kneel first, Minka. You deserve it.

Joel, take the rest of the day off.

Oh, goodness gracious, Asiansmiles! *sobs, whips self*

Welcome back, JD. That piglet is a little sycophant himself.

I agree, Icy. Abasement is completely optional for a dog.

Yes, yes, Minka. You predicted it.
