LEVELER, n.  The kind of political and social reformer who is more concerned to bring others down to his plane than to lift himself to theirs.

2007 Update:  Wisdom.

Happy birthday to Sister Aral Patricia

leveler,n: some people raise the bar, others lower them. Balance is good, otherwise we'd build another tower in Babel, and we speak with enough split tongues as it is

I almost forgot...Happy Birthday, AP3.
I'd sing, but then again you never did anything bad to me :)

Leveler: not a thing, nothing. Hmmm, maybe I've been leveled.

Happy Birthday to AP3 though.

Although I did like Minka's cleverness up there, I might add.

Leveler: Heavy munitions, guided ordinance, uncontrolled fission surpluses, or pyroclastic flows.

The easiest way to maintain a totally level posture is not to raise or lower the bar. It is by means of closing the bar that you are more likely to achieve levelness.

I can't even say that without stutterering.

Oh, I bet that's not PC.

Happy Birthday, AP3.

Getting older is the great leveler, unless you have lots of money.

LEVELER, n. American society, in the brief interregnum between the Hanoverian dynasty and the Rockefellerian.

Bierce always was an absolutist. Can't see why. Can you, Mr. Buffett? Mr. Cheney?

Happy Birthday, Aral!

I had my little ones look at the Toy r us catalog today to start their dream on, er wish list for the holidays, and would you know my little one yelled out "Charlie Brown!" when she saw the snow cone machine? Remember those? Of course it made me thing of the pez people and their leader who started it all (ie Birthday Girl!).

Leveler: She who knocks the blogsphere on its colletive arse with her introduction of the the Pez People.

Minka, that was dizzying.

g, inambition is one of the great ones.

Morgan, that was a first-rate standup routine.

Pia, and yours is on the library shelves.

TLP, that and a student are graders.

Jenn, you have if you're ready to trade briefs for brevity.

Karma, your verifier is your definition.

Quilly, I find gravity buoyant.

Nessa, dunno, I use a Mac.

Good line, though, Actonbell. That'll do. Enjoy your nap.

Jamie Dawn, short rivers run deep.

Haha, Ariel. No room on the outs?

You're welcome, Sis. I hope it's been grand.

Lovely is the shuffle, boy. Tell your old version hi.

Absolut Bierce, Amoeba? But for the rich, poor and petty bourgeoisie, he'd have been in good company.

Sar, that's an appropriate definition.

Enjoy, Cooper. At least until Boston Legal comes on.
