Admiral: A General who can't swim.

(They'll tell you they don't need to know 'cause that's what the boats are for.)

(Minka, I could totally see you doing that and it made me laugh!)

At first glance I thought today's word was Admirable and I was going to simply say see previous post. Although I did find your politically acerbic update for today's word admirable as well.

And I'd be remiss if I didn't point out that there's a 4-7 in the time I posted my comment above.

Admiral: any of several often brightly colored butterflies of the family Nymphalidae, as Vanessa atalanta (red admiral).

...not Maytag

Admiral: The one with no s**t on him.

just to finish Mutha's thought -- and damn girl, that's the second time in 2 weeks you've provided me with much needed inspiration. thanks!

Admiral: One covered in Shinola (explains why there's no sh*t)

Admiral he with the most medals, therefore bound to sink fastest which explains why he always goes down with the ship.

Minka, I suppose "Snap to" means different things to different people.

Neva, I just sometimes need directions and some helium to get to where you're standing, is all.

Al, I'm thinking you did a stint.

Thanks, Sar. Or Aye Aye.

Mule, that's just brilliant.

Nessa, I had no idea but it makes sense that you did. With Terry out of town and Amoeba on Surleave thanks for taking over the zoology duties.

Joel, today you're the one over my head. Is Admiral a dishwasher company?

Gotta love the sea breeze, don't you, Mutha.

Neva, well done with the extension!

Quilly, anymore I think he usually goes down with the Pentagon.

Admiral: The only military title that tells you the opinion you're supposed to have of the person who owns it. Other titles tend to be more, you know, general.

Why yes Doug...back in the day Admiral was a leading manufacturer of home appliances. I feel old.

TLP said...

Joel, I had an Admiral TV once. It's most admirable of your to mention that. Less estimable of the dawg to make us feel old.
That Doug.

Everyone's too clever for me by far today. I need a nap with all this cleverness abounding around me.

Doug The Una said...

Nice twist, Wombat. How many clusters have you got?

Don't feel old, Joel, feel clean. What's a Maytag?

TLP, you're only as old as I make you feel.

Jenna, that's why you're still only a Captain.

But I am the Captain of the Pinafore and a right good captain too.

Ahh...finally out of my head and into yours.

Still stuck in the A's, I see.

An admiral always appreciates all aquatics and ably allocates and activates able-bodied aviators.

I know it was dumb, but I gave it a good shot.

Was Noah an Admiral? Just askin'.

Admiral... Admirable without the "b" and the "e". So does that mean that an Admiral cannot admirable be? Or is it that I be an Admiral and therefore magnificently admirable? Or was it that I cannot an Admiral be if I am meant to be admirable?

What is it with the bees?

Is this all about me?

What? How now?

Um, I think I got lost somewhere along the way. I am confused now.

Admire-all; Armor-all's little brother. Specifically formulated for buffing mirrors.

How about it, should I embark on a new career in marketing?

Doug The Una said...

Jenna, only if I knew that song would your revenge work.

JD, all week, all a alliterations, absolutely. (I just bit my finger.)

TLP, that's an excellent question. Are giraffes sailors or sails?

All about you, Miz Be.

Kyah, I think you should go back into chemistry.

Paul McCartney and Wings?

But seriously, does this have something to do with Guantanamo and habeas corpus? xoxo

Doug The Una said...

That's the one, G!

Seriously, Mireille, nothing here has anything to do with anything. xoxo
