Gent

GENT, n. The vulgarian's ideal of a gentleman. The male of the genus Hoodlum.

2008 Update: Informally, a man who admires tidiness sufficiently to carry a cloth handkerchief, which is useful for removing DNA, fiber and fingerprints.

GENTILE, n. What's on the floor of those bathrooms, Karma.

One hardly ever sees "Gents" on the door of public bathrooms any more. Usually because the term was paired with "Ladies", and the proprietors were getting sick of the gents taking that a certain way and fielding the resulting police calls.

[looking bewildered] But my Amoeba carries a cotton handkerchief ....

Mostly the DNA, fiber and fingerprints it removes comes from my allergy symptoms. (I bet you wanted to know that.)

Handkerchief...it looks like oysters but it'snot.

Er...where were we? Oh, Gent. Not many around these days.

Gent, aka Ghent: a place in Flanders where a semi-obscure treaty was signed in December of 1814. Not known are the social attributes of the men who live there.

LOL Karma! That's why an experienced gent prefers the washbowl.

A rather adultc mens magazine/webiste. I only know this because I searched gent...

so I can see why a handkerchief might be necessary.

the suspension is killing me, a ;)

A gentleman is a guy who can groom a woman's pubic hair without getting an erection.

Cooper? You remind me of an episode of Night Court (before your time, I know) in which John Larroquette's character, Dan Fielding, sells a "John and Mary" story to Sir Gent magazine. Much to Dan's chagrin, the story was ahem edited, giving John and Mary some extra company. Who? Dan mutters: "Athletes. Big ones."

No, Lammy, that is the opposite of gentleman.

Have you met any, Lammy?

Ariel, I'm sure I don't know what you mean.

Minka, Dickens' metropolitan, nice.

Karma, a gent and a john are almost the same.

Amoeba, if you won't call the police, you shouldn't propriet.

Quilly, I'm sure Amoeba only cleans up crime scenes that really need it.

TLP, if you see one, say hello.

Haha, Actonbell. That's correct. Madame. That's correct, madame.

Pop, I'm sure we'd both be terrified.

It's Europe, Sauerkraut. The place is crawling with gents.

Karma, you guys really are confusing today.

Amoeba, I think that might be the truest definition, a man who anticipates missing.

Haha, Ariel.

Cooper, you mean a magazine about shaving and supporting dependents? That sounds good.

Still baffled, K.

Lammy, I think that's a homosexual.

Amoeba, that takes me back. That show was pretty funny.

Ariel, you sure?

Good question, Hobbes.

Oh, K. Now I get it. You were talking about hair care.
