Army

ARMY, n. A class of non-producers who defend the nation by devouring everything likely to tempt an enemy to invade.

2010 Update: A collective of armed representatives commissioned to repel foreign powers at home and decimate them abroad. A "host".

Since I seem to be first to comment this morning, I'll borrow the U.S. Army's one-time recruiting slogan, "An Army of One," which was later replaced with "Army Strong".

One of my favourite morning activities on my way to an old job was to sit at the bus stop and watch the PPCLI squad go jogging by in their maroon sweats. It was a sad sad day when the government got rid of the Calgary base. Sad sad day.

The Army goes rollin' along. On its stomach.

Hello, TLP. Care to join me for tea and crumpets?

I thought it was awfully gracious of Nessa (on yesterday's post) to say, "TLP is back at the top and first, as she should be, Doug."

Between you and me, I think Nessa is just pretending to be an army brat. She doesn't a mean bone in her body.

Sorry, a typo -- She doesn't *have* a mean bone in her body.

Karen, that's the right way to start your day- with plagiarism.

Jenn, national security is a homey thing.

Actonbell, do you ever wish Selena were?

Quilly, I suppose that's one way to drive traffic.

Thom, I bet if I knew what you're talking about I might be excited too.

Ariel, I suppose every soldier is somewhat a socialist.

Nessa, I knew that. Stationed in Austria, auspiciously.

So they say, TLP.

Karen enjoy your tea and crumpets.

Cooper, you just need a bigger armed force.

Octopus Poobah.

Sauerkraut, whoops there goes another banana tree.

Uncle Sam's largest employment program. Strangely, there are always spots available.

Dang weirsdo ... how boring!

Do you plan on revisiting this blog's entire month of April 2010 ??

I realize Nessa was a problem at the time, but can't we just let bygones be bygones?

I didn't say you had to come with me, Karen.
