Bait,n., Temptation. For every person there is one which that person cannot resist. Why resist? There will always be another one.

Bait: A woman's or a man's attitude to make someone fall in love with them.

Yay! I'm the second comment here.

You never told me Doug if you actually love Cinnabon ;)?

Yes, Tan Lucy. Or hundreds.

That's an excellent question Marwa, and I'm delighted you stopped by to ask. The only cinnabon I see is in Sacramento airport. By walking fast and thinking about public policy I usually get past it without stopping.

Karma, I see you don't believe in handcuffs.

Quick poll: Who here thinks verifiers are more annoying than spam? I'm on the fence.

TLP said...

Well, I frequently can't get past the verifier. Couldn't get in to comment this morning. So, I e-mailed my comment to Aral so that she could post it for me. But other than this stupid PC problem that I have on and off, the verifier is okay. 'Course, Aral might not think that! LOL

I seriously was wondering what "anlocken" was doing there. Five minutes later, I realized it was the German word for bait.
It is so the time for me to have a short trip to Germany and connect with my roots!

bait,n. according to some: something the American government had hanging on a pole -disguised as hope for safety from terrorism- to hook its people to support a war that was not justified.

Prelude to switch.

Doug The Una said...

TLP, do you think Aral would post my comments too?

Wie lustig, Monika! They got our library cards, too.

Mireille! I ran out of turpentine.

Bait, n. That which some pursue to their own detriment, and others master to their own blindness.

a4g, great definition. You left out the irony of a clownfish tossing the line.

Gabriel, I'm afraid I'm going to have to ask you to stop commenting here. There could never be a more perfect Gabriel C. Zolman entry. *bowing**bowing again*

Bait: to hold out hope that tomorrow will be a day where people and dogs can once again rule

Doug The Una said...

Rio, even in cyberspace you're a peril.

Of course not Pansi, I promised you today's post would be a one-syllable word and more germane. All the captists in Peteysville couldn't have kept me from the promise.

Pia, its nice to see bipartisanship.

Push up bras, stilettos, well placed addition in Jockey shorts, flashing of cash, ...

I choose word verification over spam because wv makes me annoyed, and spam raises my blood pressure. My health is at stake.

Bait: A Black & Red Stiletto as opposed to a sneaker.

Bait: the thing that TLP won't take.

Doug The Una said...

Thanks for your vote, Jamie Dawn, and for showing such sensitivity in your wardrobe.

Sar, you must be fishing for women.

Dddragon, you tried and I appreciate it.

Bait, n. A thing which immediately precedes a stabbing pain, jerking around, gasping for breath, and eventually death. Also, something to catch fish.

The sweet aroma of a poodles butt.

I don't mind at all, TLP!

No, Doug, I will not post for you! ;-P

This word just makes me keep thinking "master".

Actonbell, almost anything to a person a diet. With me it's leaves or better.

Hey, Andrew! Good of you to come back and funny definition.

Good dog, Dusty! I can only imagine.

Aral, Gabriel got there ahead of you. And why not? I thought we were friends.

Alice, I'll turn the verifier off for awhile. Maybe that's what's making us so mean.

Lila said...

Oh, yeah, Gabriel did beat me... to it. Well done, Gabriel.
