Uh oh, I think I'm first today.

Pie: That which Don McClean established as an American musical classic and Jason Biggs established as an American comedic classic.

Target for greedy fingers. May suddenly turn into can of worms.

Sar, it is all "American" really. We do not have a pie culture here.

pie: characteristic of a person

1) a good natured person, she is as sweet as...
2) a cocky person: "Oh this is as easy as...", probably never having made one himself
3) a greedy person, that always wants a bigger slice
and:
4) second in line on Thanksgiving, right after the dead bird

Sar, I may have to rethink my definition. Now way American Pie is beyond satire.

Weirsdo, can o' what?

Monika, I never realized before your post that pie is the paragon of paragon. Deep.

Actonbell, don't forget pie napple, pie are squared and pie pet.

My verifier whord is zhfuqg. Someone out there needs it more than I do.

pie; as pie in the sky: dreams that are never acted upon so can't come true

Well it's a hard day to come up with anything outstand, and Sar said what I was going to so...

a4g, explain to them that it isn't a zero-sum game. The more pie dad gets the more motivated he is to bring more home. A rising tide and all that.

Pia, are you accusing Sar of preplagiarism? That's a word every blogger should have in his or her vocabulary.

Pie, n., from a very old number.

Correctly spelled pi, and it's 3.14159265358979323846. Approximately. Just about. Close enough for retired government workers.

Are you pansified, Doug? The idea is, when one puts one's fingers into a lot of pies (let's call one of them Iraq), one might find that one is doing damage control rather than pulling out the anticipated plums.

iqodzswn to you too.

Pie: Pia in typo form.

Thanks for the second serving, Doug! I leave my tip in the form of an inspirational hat tip to Tan Lucy's and Doug's previous comments.

Pie: A valid reason to skip dinner.

Pie:
1. The nickname for a witch's cat.
2. Which was also the name of one of TanLucy's childhood cats.
3. TanLucy's Pecan Pie is the favorite of Actonbell's husband.
4. Actonbell and her husband like to Bar Hop.
5. Bar Chart is a form of a visual display used to give information.
6. Another way of giving information is to make a Pie chart.

And if that isn't enough:
Creating Pie of Pie and Bar of Pie charts

See, TLP, that number makes me feel young and fresh.

Indeed I was, Weirsdo. I thought you were talking about Ms. Mall Diva and Toy Collector.

Sar, of course. Have another slice.

Jamie Dawn, that's not dinner?

pie-way of demonstrating cultural differences. on one side of the ocean, pie=dinner...on the other pie=dessert.
atpghx-a tea pig hoax

Dddragon, six degrees of pie is a game I can so get into.

Masil, on first read I thought you were rhyming highway. There's a very funny version of "This Land is your land" starting to emerge. I was actually delighted in Australia that pies had meat in them.

I lost all my savings in a tea pig hoax, by the way. Not funny!

Liono,

A little slice of heaven best served cold.

pie,n. Something everyone in America strives for a piece of without ever knowing exactly what it is and subsequently never getting enough of.

dddragon said...

Comfort addict: oh, no, I beg to disagree. Best served HOT with COLD vanilla ice cream!

Doug The Una said...

Karma, same to you.

Comfort Addict, I always get pie and revenge mixed up. Which involves poison?

See, Alice, one of my virtues is that Pie isn't a metaphor for me so I know what I'm seeking. Of course, I don't recognize enough any better than anyone else.

Thank you, dddragon. That helps. I think he meant revenge.
