Weaknesses

WEAKNESSES, n.pl. Certain primal powers of Tyrant Woman wherewith she holds dominion over the male of her species, binding him to the service of her will and paralyzing his rebellious energies.

2008 Update:  The collection of insecurities, appetites, addictions, agitations, temptations, frustrations, aspirations and allegations that machines, demons and neighbors provoke to distract us from our obedience.

DEVIL WOMAN
Marty Robbins

I told Mary about us, told her about our great sin
Mary just cried and forgave me, Mary took me back again
She said if I wanted my freedom, I could be free evermore
But I don't want to be and I don't want to see Mary cry anymore.

Devil woman, devil woman, let go of me
Devil woman, let me be
Just leave me alone,
I want to go home.

Mary is waiting and weeping alone in our shack by the sea
Even after I hurt her, Mary' still in love with me
Devil woman, it's over, trapped no more by your charms
I don't want to stay, I want to get away, Women let go of my arms.

Devil woman, you're evil like the dark coral reef
Like the winds that bring high tides, you bring sorrow and grief
You made me so ashamed to face Mary, barely had the strength to tell
Skies are not so black, Mary took me back,
Mary has broken your spell.

Weaknesses are things like honesty or intelligence that a Washingtonian needs but lacks.

Weaknesses: I have many which are food related, and I have a weakness for romantic movies.
Your list sounds like the opposite of the fruits of the Spirit.

Good thought, Ariel, although they can feel more like the seas.

Woof, Icy!

Mireille, the one in the ink blot?

Nice, Minka! Is that really you?

Meow, Sauerkraut.

Quilly, I knew that had to be you. I always liked that song but find it morally repugnant.

TLP, one congressman's barge is another's swift boat.

Dang, JD. That's smart! I need one more, though. Pieties!

There's a sleekness to her weakness
When the filly wins the Preakness
Leaves the bettors in a reek mess
To contemplate their meekness
Or the costs of seeking redress
From persecutors of freakness

Your update is a much more mild obsession ... sorry to tell you but I think Ambrose was a bit whipped.

Weaknesses - Lays Potato Chips, corvids, tequila, accordian sambas, my handsome hippie, beagles, black and white pintos, Souza marches... the list is endless.

I have none so of course I can't possibly relate.

Weaknesses: not as good as vulnerabilities.

Like Bierce, Oscar Wilde wrote of "the terrible tyranny of the weak over the strong," but I think he had Lord Alfred Douglas in mind.

JJ, it's a funny exhibitionism and it takes pride.

Haha, Amoeba. Yep, freakness is perpetrated by the common first.

Terry, if he's whipped, he apparently got that way fully clothed.

Of course, Cooper. You probably started blogging to learn about weakness from the sources.

Indie, and ticklish spots are even better.

Weirsdo, that tyranny is never stronger than during a public testimony, is it?
