devotion, the sane line between interest and obsession.

Me first *doing my happy dance*

Devotion: Willing to commit henious acts of violence in vicarious revenge for a pretty German gal in Iceland.

Got you Sar, sneaked in a second before you! *mini wave in celebration of me*
But I feel kinda bad cause your commetn was so nice towards me :(
I am willing to share this first place!

so does that make me second or third? let Doug's devotion to me decide (even though he lives in my kitchen)

*conceding but still joining Monika for her well deserved happy dance and inviting Karma to join!*

Doug - I stopped back for a second one...

Devotion: visiting Waking Ambrose before my morning coffee so I can misspell words like heinous.

thanks honey, but i don't share anything (or anyone). its OK, i don't mind being second or third. as long as you or Monika are ahead of me. happy dance? *doing the tango with devotion and rose between teeth*

I've always been wondering if they remove the thorns before putting roses in their mouthes for tango or they use roses of marzipan maybe?

devotion - something to live for when you don't happen to have anything else.

Monika, it gets a little blurry sometimes, doesn't it?

Sar, I bet the crime statistics in iceland are pretty low. You might want to wear a disguise. A sandal?

Oh, Karma. A test of my devotion or my courage?

Ariel, that's a very incisive definition but I'm kind of depressed now. What if you have two dogs? By the way, if you ain't bleeding it ain't tango. (And if you ain't limping, you weren't dancing with me.)

I'm still mulling over the kundalini beatdown. The tantric Icelandic a$$kicking. My own ability to embarrass myself with talk of penises. I mean, they're just another bodypart, right? In terms of devotion, just think Charles and Camilla. Like white on rice/like spots on dice. ♥ xoxo

I like Ariel's marzipan rose thought. I'd prefer a non-thorned real rose, but a marzipan one would not be rejected. I think it might get eaten mid-tango though.

Something must be wrong with me. I keep a potato masher and a couple of spatulas in my kitchen. I hope they sell those torture thingies at Walmart.

This is the first time I have ever left a comment BEFORE TLP. She always makes it here first.

Doug, you make me wonder about your tango teacher. :-P please don't be depressed.

devotion~
Stopping by here in the morning before I even check my own blog.
My devotion to Ambrose and Doug is clearly bordering on obsessive.

The Violent Vixen said...

Devotion: the mental state of any man woman or child when they decide that life is about one thing- the opposite sex.

TLP said...

Well, I won't try to top Doug. Dawgs know about devotion.

I'm devoted to doing something evil to Monika's ex-boyfriend. This is still the site for talking to Monika and the girls, no?

TLP said...

On second thought, *acting as if she had thought the first time*, maybe devotion is like what happened to Al Gore in Florida. The Bush team de-voted him for the nation.

gutzyani: Gutsy, ain't I?

Mireille, excellent examples of the devotion of a blogging friend and the devotion of a polo player to his beloved.

Jamie Dawn, try the potato masher.

Ariel, wonder about whether she's still alive? Good question. I was teasing about the depression. Optimism gives me facial tics.

Sundew, I'm flattered and grateful. Have we met?

Great definition, Solace, although technically, I'm not sure that's a mental state.

Of course, TLP. Should I come back later? And yes'm you is.

devotion-euphamism for a stalker

Devotion~ Obsessive infatuation with a specific cause... for eg: individual finds house infested with pests and bcomes devoted to the extermination and complete obliteration of every single last one...

Monika, wanna send your ex over to my place? Maybe he can join the inlaws and... a bohemian can only dream!

Constant definition of devotion~ Waking Ambrose, Doug Pacover... I need a multiple daily fix... the alternative is not an option..

Miz BoheMia said...

Oops... Pascover that is!

Jamie Dawn said...

In the Christian arena, one is expected to have daily devotions. Have you had your quiet time with the Lord today? Because if you haven't, you must not be devoted.
Uh-oh. I'm in trouble.

my devotion to my blog is going to make me in dire need of money and blood donations.

Devotion: Commenting at someone's blog repeatedly, though they have never commented at yours.

But I can't stay long. Got to go off and comment elsewhere.

Tom & Icy said...

I give devotion as long as you bring stuff from the kitchen, woof!

Devotion is looking forward to the story tomorrow morning.

Oooh, Gabriel. I hate deafening optimism.

Good definition, Masil, and you should really shave if you're going to wear that skirt.

Just don't call me late to dinner, Miz B. And devotion to extermination is a very special kind of love.

You're not in trouble, Jamie Dawn. Just forgiven.

Haha, Marwa. Never pass up prey and never quit the hunt.

Hahaha, Pia. Things are a little tight this month. Blood ok?

Thanks for dropping by, Indie. Flame them.

It's funny, Icy. That's what Willie said.

And I appreciate yours, TLP.

I love it, a4g.

You mean doing the wave, Actonbell? Yeah, this should be LBOS' day, right?

the way i spend most of my days, i almost went into the local mission today not my usualy type of devotion but given the recent stigmata accident i thought it might be nice but then decided no because i didnt want to pay or take the time to sneak in.

devotion: also my great waste of time and heart

Doug The Una said...

Hey, Rio! Yes the stigmata should have told you something. Save money on the mission might have been it. I talk it you're home?

devotion - A serious Jones for the band Devo.

Sorry, I'm still not completely cured, but I'm on the way back. Doug, thanks for the continued patronage during my unfortunate incarceration in the sick bay.

Ah but if you're devoted to something, do you necessarily have to love it? Just think of all the people in the world who are "devoted" to exercise. If it didn't keep them fit, would they come back out of love?
