Devotion
Devotion, n. A mild type of mental abberation variously produced; in love, by a surplus of blood; in religion, by chronic dyspepsia.

I like Ariel's marzipan rose thought. I'd prefer a non-thorned real rose, but a marzipan one would not be rejected. I think it might get eaten mid-tango though.

In the Christian arena, one is expected to have daily devotions. Have you had your quiet time with the Lord today? Because if you haven't, you must not be devoted. Uh-oh. I'm in trouble.
the way i spend most of my days, i almost went into the local mission today not my usualy type of devotion but given the recent stigmata accident i thought it might be nice but then decided no because i didnt want to pay or take the time to sneak in.

Ah but if you're devoted to something, do you necessarily have to love it? Just think of all the people in the world who are "devoted" to exercise. If it didn't keep them fit, would they come back out of love?
