Real
REAL, adj. A woman's tongue. This is the only part we can swear to.
Beware of being too real, lest your "positive" new-agey friends deem you too "negative." For according to these folk, if we pretend bad stuff doesn't exist, it won't. I'll remember that if a bomb is ever falling on me.
REAL, adj. (Sp.) Royal (cf. Real Madrid, Sauerkraut). Thus, a speaker who adjures us to "get real", we assign to the nobility. With the title of "royal pain".
Amoeba, Did you know that Port-au-Français is a god-forsaken spot in the Southern Ocean which just happens to be about where a rod stuck through Seattle and the center of the Earth would come out?
Sergio Ramos talked about the team's upcoming match after training this morning.
"Our goal is to take 98 points and wait for Barcelona's result. The number of points both teams have is amazing. It's incredible no-one has won the title yet. We've had a great season and we still believe we can win the title."
"We must focus on our match against Malaga, but we don't depend on ourselves and have to wait for Barcelona's match to end. It would be a mistake for us to think about it while we play. We have to focus on what we do."
"There is much at stake for both Valladolid and Malaga. They fight to avoid relegation. Both games will be complicated."
added as an adverb when the speaker is not entirely certain they will be persuasive to their listener. "I really, really, really will finish my chores later, really."
"This was The Firesign Theatre's first album wherein a single narrative took up both sides of the album.
In Phil Austin's notes to the 1987 Mobile Fidelity re-release of this album he says "Dwarf is the story of the five ages of Man and in particular, the five ages of one George Leroy Tirebiter; a man named after a dog" [4]
The piece centers on the character of Tirebiter (played by David Ossman), a former child actor who spends his time watching himself on late-night television".
REAL, adj. see also reel -- a word designed to hook genuine suckers and sell them a less than genuine product. For instance, Real Fat-Free Half & Half. Hello?

Sauerkraut, a real journalist who stuck to his seat.
Ghostseeker, thanks for the advice. I'll keep that in mind if I ever have positive, new agey friends.
Right, Amoeba. Then you can tell them to take a long walk on a short camino.
Precisely, Ariel. And not at all.
Karen, I'm not Amoeba, but I did not know that.
Amoeba, I have every confidence that makes sense.
Brilliant bet, Jim. The likelier you are to lose, the lower the stakes.
Ah, thanks for the translation, Karen. You're probably a real journalist, too.
Logo, those extra reallies help, don't they?
And thanks once more, Karen. Anything you might lack in relevance today you're more than making up for in thoroughness.
Thom, you obviously keep up with the news adequately.
Karen, that's you, too?
Quilly, that's a complex one.
Karen, it's good to see the stroke wasn't fatal or damaging.
Jim, thanks for the map and being good.
Karen, Bearded Man on Campus, with Amoeba.
Actonbell, I understand what you are saying.
Karen, good luck.
Velveteen, Cooper.
Thanks once more, Karen.
Slow Thursday, Doug?
