The Reformation of Wolfshausen
Teil Dreiundsiebzig

Sounds more like the Devil made you do it, Nessa. But, of course, the Devil is a god. Which raises the musical question, 'How can any religion with a Devil in it be called monotheistic?' Unless, of course, you're dancing to his satanic majesty's requests.
I'm off topic but I wanted to share this Irving Layton quote. It seems so appropriate with the theme of this blog:
"Since I no longer expect anything from mankind except madness, meanness, and mendacity; egotism, cowardice, and self-delusion, I have stopped being a misanthrope"
"Our life is what our thoughts make it." ~ Marcus Aurelius Antonius
or
"The person who sends out positive thoughts activates the world around him positively and draws back to himself positive results." ~ Norman Vincent Peale
or
"The soul attracts that which it secretly harbours; that which it loves, and also that which it fears; it reaches the height of its cherished aspirations; it falls to the level of its un-chastened desires. Every thought-seed sown or allowed to fall into the mind, and to take root there, produces its own, blossoming sooner or later into act, and bearing its own furtive of opportunity and circumstance. Good thoughts bear good fruit; bad thought, bad fruit." ~ James Allen

That's fine. It's a god excuse for me not to do anything constructive today.
"Why aren't you doing the laundry?"
"I can't. Doug hasn't posted his story yet."
I leave the next line up to your imagination. Hint: It might involve some curse words.
Did you notice my Freudian typo?
Typo? I thought Doug was getting the respect he deserved

Happy ritin', puppy.
Amoeba, how can a religion with a trinity be called monotheistic?
Not to mention Michael, Gabriel, and the whole rest of that crew with wings and trumpets, TLP ...
Pagananity is not dead.
So, it's to be a Sunday service this week, huh, Doug?
OK, Nessa. Time to wash. I assume you meant a "gorillish excuse."
Pop, I don't get that much respect from my family.
Lookie here, Amoeba, you do the classical languages, I'll handle the theology.
TLP, how can Unitarians not be?
Amoeba, you're naming the Monkees now?
There's a pagan under every bed, Nessa.
Nope, TLP, you just lost faith a bit early this week.
Okay. It was worth waiting for. I guess you can't hurry art.
Unitarians are monotheistic. Sort of. In a pagan kinda way.
The flying Monkees, Dawg. Had the Wicked Witch of the West thought of this, Dorothy would have surrendered the silver/ruby slippers PDQ.
So many good lines in this week's installment.
I think the Brewmaster may be a Pentecostal.
Frau Braun is in trouble now. Witches are not harmless or forgettable, porcine or not.

I have always liked Marcus Aurelius. One of those few people who actually knew what he was talking about, huh?

TLP, sort of a there's no god but God so take your pick sort of thing?
Amoeba, and where would that have left William Jennings Bryan?
Nessa, that was my thought, too. The first of the future primitives.
That's it, Actonbell. I didn't want to post until you were ready.
Karen, that's a fine quote and a pretty good summary of this blog.
Nessa, do you think it works that way for slapstick?
Ariel, you have to destroy many nations to find peace at last.
Thanks, Coop.
Karen, I expect you'll enjoy both.
