Dependent
DEPENDENT, adj. Reliant upon another's generosity for the support which you are not in a position to exact from his fears.

DEPENDANT, adj. one who promotes uncertainty and/or indecision in others, hence the parent's lament, "Will s/he ever grow up and get a job!?"
