Queer
QUEER, adj. The reason young men prefer other fellows' sisters to their own.
I never noticed it before, but look how close the word queer is to queen. Just a tiny little extension on the end of the "r" gives you the "n" to make a queer queen. Mmmmm....I've heard that queens have good extension. Just noticin'. I should probably have more coffee.
It's better to be queer than boring. If one finds oneself becoming boring, one must do something out of the box in order to add interest to one's persona. I find that nude jogging and wearing large hats tends to work for me.
TLP, more coffee and maybe a chat with your youngest.
Amoeba, I found myself wondering if "queer" picked up the current commonest connotation since 1913.
Yes, yes, JD, that would probably do the trick. I think Oscar Wilde once said something along the lines of: In the end, isn't it better to have a steady income than to be fascinating?
Bear enjoy your smoke n' joke.
Jenn, so I hear. I'm cool with white walls.
Ain't it though, Jim?
Karma, I'd be gay too if the whole world stopped smelling like moth balls all at once.
Right, G. Why choose?
Cooper, I did too, but I figured this was a word for a slow day.
Indeed, Sauerkraut. You see what happens when we all get suddenly polite, except for TLP.
Blogmama, I was recording today's story. If you listen to the recording, you will hear a ping. That will be your question reaching my inbox.

LOL Karma! Good one!
I suppose Bierce's Victorian sensibilities compelled him to use the word sisters in his definition.
And I wonder what life must have been like, especially this last couple of decades, for professional golfer Gay Brewer.
Queer: odd, strange, interesting

it's the eye for the straight guy.
Ooops, that's queer.

Or other fellows' brothers.
I find myself queerly unable to redefine.
So, Doug, you still hiding out? It's SATURDAY on earth ya know.
Not very, TLP.
Karma, is that how they make them?
