I love your definition today.

Truce: This is what Hatfield and McCoy called whenever they both needed to use the outhouse. The shooting would stop temporarily, then resume once the outhouse business was completed.

Once before I wasn't nice to J.D. and she didn't read my blog for ages. She labeled me ('hitonious') until she finally called a truce after I appoligized.

You're are thinking Palin and Letterman, eh?

Truce is needed there. For her good.

Burying the hatchet somewhere other than in the other guy's back.

Truce, like a layover a temporary lull which can last forever or not so much.

I will gladly wait to bite you tomorrow if you don't bite me today.

JD, I bet the neighbors preferred the shooting.

Right, Nessa. A time to trade hymnals.

Jim, I still feel bad for one time in 2005 I wasn't nice to J.D. She's sweet. What's wrong with us?

Sounds like soft power to me, Flip.

Sauerkraut, why would I be thinking of Letterman and Palin?

TLP, in the back makes for a detente.

Actonbell, I'm new to that phrase. It's because I'm unmarried, isn't it?

Perfect analogy, Cooper. Not long enough if you're in a hurry.

An inverted Wimpy's Dilemma, Icy.

Exactly, Ariel. Well done.

TLP, you have discriminating tastes.

Bob, shrubbery and a twelve gauge makes a pretty fair neighbor, too.

Thanks, TLP. ;)

My Okie great grandmother's eye was put out by that kind of neighbor, RBUD.

That happens to Okie great grandmothers more than you might think, Weirsdo.
